Summary
[edit]DescriptionHamilton Flyer E800A trolleybus leaving Eastgate Square in May 1987.jpg |
Hamilton trolleybus 7801 at Eastgate Square mall in 1987, having just left the transit centre on an inbound trip on route 1-King. No. 7801 was a Flyer E800A, built in 1978. The card in its front window, reading "Queenston Loop", is misleading, as only outbound trips could go to Queenston Loop (its driver presumably forgot to remove that destination card). Hamilton Street Railway's transit centre at Eastgate Square was relocated about 20 years later, in the late 2000s, and buses no longer pass this exact location. The road that the trolleybus was about to turn (left) onto has also since been relocated. The Hamilton trolleybus system closed on 30 December 1992. |
