English: Technical photo taken with Exacta Varex Haliday Collection National Museum of Ireland.
The collection contains in addition to Haliday's own insects many giiven to him by Francis Walker (in the main Hymenoptera and Diptera but insects of most other orders occur in the gift especially Coleoptera and Thysanoptera). Other collectors represented are Dours (Europe, Hymenoptera); Foerster (Europe, Hymenoptera); Loew (Europe, Diptera); Piccioli (Italy, Apidae, Tenthredinidae and Homoptera); Rudd (British, general); Saunders (Corfu and Albania, Aculeata); Stevens (British, general) and Wollaston (British, general). There is in addition a considerable material taken by Charles Darwin on the Beagle Voyage.
