Obverse description: Bust, possibly with wig, right.
Obverse inscription: ?1758? CHARLES ROE ESTABLISHED THE CHESTER WORKS
Reverse description: Woman draped seated left with machinery (?spinning jenny) right and distaff left. Dated in exergue: 1797.
Reverse inscription: MACCLESFIELD HALFPENNY
Diameter: 29.5mm, Weight: 11.27gms, die axis: 6.
