Summary
[edit]DescriptionHagalund Vattentorn.jpg |
English: Hagalund's water tower is now a closed water tower in Solna. The tower, which was inaugurated in 1912, fetched its water from the pebble sauce at Frösundavik.
Hagalund (now a district in Solna) began to be built in 1890. When the Hagalund Tunnel was built for the railroad in 1908, the groundwater level was lowered and the wells in Hagalund were reduced. They then applied to pump water from the pebble sauce at Frösundavik. There, a pumping station would be erected and more than five kilometers of pipes would be dug down to Hagalundsberget and a new water tower.
