[edit]DescriptionHMS Champion (41384006761).jpg | Model of 'C' Class light cruiser (Cambrian group) HMS Champion, 3,750 tons, completed 1915, served with the Grand Fleet 1915-18 and fought at Jutland, disposed of 1934. HMS Champion and her sister HMS Calliope were the first cruisers with geared turbines (of different designs). HMS Champion was also the first warship to be fitted with RPC (Remote Power Control) gunnery systems in 1928 when a gunnery firing ship attached to the Signal School.
