English: Sandown-Class minehunter HMS Blyth returns to HMNB Clyde in Scotland.
Blyth, one of the Royal Navy’s Sandown-Class minehunters, was welcomed home by families, friends and loved-ones on 20th December, when the vessel and her 37-strong crew returned to HM Naval Base Clyde from a six-month NATO deployment. Home in time for Christmas, crew members were reunited with their loved ones at the dockside after many weeks of separation and were welcomed by the Royal Marine Band Scotland. This image is available for high resolution download at www.defenceimages.mod.uk subject to the terms and conditions of the Open Government License at www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/doc/open-government-licence/.
