English: Marines with Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron 467, Marine Aircraft Group 29, 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing, II Marine Expeditionary Force returned to Marine Corps Air Station New River, N.C., from a deployment to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, Dec. 6, 2014. HMLA-467 was part of the last Marines to be deployed to the Helmand province of Afghanistan in support of OEF with the purpose of providing close-air support to the Marines operating on the ground. The squadron began their first part of their combat deployment early May at Camp Bastion in the Helmand province and finished at Kandahar Airfield in Kandahar, Afghanistan. “It’s tough but there is always a very proud feeling as a mother and I am just relieved he’s home,” explained Tammy Jordan, mother of Cpl. Jacob Jordan, who is a Marine with the squadron. |
