Description
Nederlands: Beschrijving Het mailschip ss. Plancius in volle vaart

Bouwnummer 166, gebouwd op de werf van de Nederlandsche Scheepsbouw Maatschappij (N.S.M.) in opdracht van de Koninklijke Paketvaart Maatschappij. Het ss. Plancius diende van 1942 tot einde 1945 tot hoofdkwartierschip van de Nederlandse striijdkrachten in het Verre Oosten, standplaats Trincomallee (Ceylon). Op 2 april 1946 werd het schip vrij gegeven en weer in handelsdienst genomen. Het werd afgevoerd van de operationele lijst in 1958 en voor de sloop naar Hongkong verkocht.
