this statue stands at 135 ft. tall...and is located at sandruptse, a small hilltop 7kms. from the town of namchi in south sikkim

padmasambhava is revered as the guardian saint of the state of sikkim, as he spent a lot of time meditating at various parts of the state on his way to lhasa...he is also said to have blessed the entire state from the town of tashiding
