Nederlands: De portretten van Filips Dominicle en Barbara Ommejaeghere vormden oorspronkelijk de zijluiken van een triptiek die in gesloten toestand de wapens van de schenkers vertoonde (zorgden voor de identificatie van de personen; verdwenen na de restauratie van 1963). Het middenpaneel ging verloren. Filips Dominicle was vanaf 1547 herhaaldelijk schepen, hoofdman en raadsheer te Brugge. In 1555 werd hij proost van de Broederschap van het Heilig Bloed, in 1570 gouverneur van de Bogardenschool. Hij was gehuwd met Barbara Ommejaeghere en stierf in 1576. Zijn personage tekent zich af tegen een stadsgezicht van Brugge: de Kraanplaats en de Sint-Jansstraat. De vrouw poseert voor het Minnewater met op de achtergrond de Begijnhofkerk, het Sashuis, de toren van de O.-L.-Vrouwekerk en het Belfort. Dit traditionele Brugse stadsgezicht werd sinds het laatste kwart van de 15de eeuw veelvuldig afgebeeld in de achtergrond van portretten en religieuze taferelen, vooral in het werk van de Meester van de Lucialegende en de Meester van de Ursulalegende.
