Croissant de lune montant d’argent fermé, bordé d’une roue crénelée d’argent sur douze dents d’engrenages, accompagné en son abîme d’un obus d’artillerie chargé à la main de Fatma de gueules et d’argent

Symbole

Le croissant de lune est un symbole important dans l’Islam, il symbolise le temps à travers les différents cycles de la lune mais est aussi un signe de résurrection. « Le croissant est à la fois ouvert et fermé, ouvert à l’éternité et pourtant limité dans le temps » . La main de Fatma est un symbole essentiellement répandu au Maghreb et, en Egypte elle représente dans la tradition Nord africaine une figure protectrice contre le « mauvais sort ». L’obus rappel bien entendu la vocation technique de l’unité, héritière de l’artillerie.

Quant à la roue crénelée sur douze dents d’engrenages elle est bien entendu le symbole de la mécanique.
