Description
Français : Mithra n’a jamais été adopté officiellement dans le panthéon public de Rome. Son culte apparaît à Rome dans la seconde moitié du 1e siècle apr. J.-C. et se répand rapidement dans les provinces de l’Empire, sous l’impulsion notamment des soldats et des fonctionnaires impériaux.
English: Mithra was never officially accepted in Rome’s public pantheon. His cult first appeared in Rome in the second half of the 1st century AD and spread rapidly in the provinces of the Empire, largely by imperial soldiers and officials.
