Français : Groupe d'agents de liaison auquel Joseph Régis Lafont appartenait (au premier plan, 1er à gauche)
Joseph Régis Lafont est né au Puy-en-Velay le 27 juillet 1892. Orphelin, il effectue son service militaire en 1912-1913 et il est mobilisé en août 1914. Il est incorporé au 171e RI. Il est agent de liaison entre les lignes arrières et les troupes au front assurant son service à bicyclette. Il est blessé lors des combats de la Somme en 1918. Il est décoré de la médaille militaire et de la Croix de Guerre pour avoir notamment évacué des prisonniers vers l'arrière malgré les violents tirs de barrage (5 mai 1917) et pour sa belle attitude au feu, effectuant ses missions de liaisons sous la mitraille. |
