Nederlands: Dikke, doorlopende wenkbrauwen en snorren hoorden tot het schoonheidsideaal van Iraanse vrouwen in de Qajar-periode (1799-1925). Wat de natuur niet gaf, werd zo nodig bijgetekend met mascara. Het ideaal voor mannen was een zo slank mogelijke taille. English: Group of women playing music Thick, continuous eyebrows and whiskers belonged to the beauty ideal of Iranian women in the Qajar period (1799-1925). What nature didn't give was signed with mascara if necessary. The ideal for men was as slim a waist as possible. |
