English: Grit and salt container, Red Hill On the steep descent from the entrance to Shortwood Family Farm towards Lowdy Hall in the distance.
The road is steep enough to be given a chevron on the OS map (between 1 in 7 and 1 in 5 or between 14% and 20%). The salt and grit can be used in winter to help vehicles get a grip in icy conditions. |
