Description

To my mind, G.victoriae and it's forms and relatives (G.diminuta and miqueliana for instance) are among the loveliest of Grevilleas, especially for cooler gardens. There is another one the Aussies call the 'ACT form' (the ACT being the Australian Capital Territory, or Canberra basically) which is especially good - the upper surfaces of the leaves being darker as I recall, and the new growth and buds covered in ginger fuzz. I've not seen it here. Can someone import it please?

I just Googled 'ACT form' and apparently it's undergone some revision (Mackinson 1997). Apparently It's now G.oxyantha or perhaps rhyolitica (which is in fact listed by one nursery in the Midlands but I just checked their catalogue and it's not there. The plot thickens...) Anyway - well worth hunting down.
