English: Aggressive baserunning plays a central role in the Purdue baseball program’s identity. Thanks to an innovative partnership with Intel, the Boilermakers expect to steal even more bases and leg out even more infield hits during the 2022 season.
Purdue is the nation’s first college baseball program to utilize Intel’s 3DAT visualization technology, which helped Boilermakers like Cam Thompson and Curtis Washington Jr. identify technique adjustments they could make to improve their speed. Thanks in part to the 3DAT feedback, Thompson went from being the team’s slowest runner last year to one of its fastest today. Hear from the players, Purdue coaches Greg Goff and Rance Terry and Intel’s Breana Cappuccilli, who completed a PhD in mechanical engineering at Purdue in December 2021, as they discuss how using the 3DAT platform as a development tool is paying off for Purdue. |
