Description

Das als „Hornhaut“ bezeichnete Gewebe ist eigentlich die „harte Augenhaut“, auch „Lederhaut“ oder „Sclera“ genannt. Die Hornhaut befindet sich als Schutzhaut vor der Iris und vor der vorderen Augenkammer und leistet einen bedeutenden Beitrag zur Gesamtbrechkraft des Auges.

Zudem ist „Regenbogenhaut“ ein anderer Name für die Iris, das Gewebe, das in der Zeichnung als „Regenbogenhaut“ markiert ist, ist die Aderhaut.
