Deutsch: Informationstafel zum Granitporphyr von Thal-Heiligenstein in Thal, Ortsteil von Ruhla, Wartburgkreis, Thüringen, Deutschland. Dieser magmatische Gang, in viele Teilkörper zerschert („zerrissen“), die sich über die Hänge beidseits des Erbstromes verteilen, ist seit 1977 als geologisches Naturdenkmal ausgewiesen. Besonderes Merkmal ist das ungewöhnliche Gefüge mit länglich verformten Quarz-Einsprenglingen. Diese sind als „geschwänzte Quarze“ oder „Kaulquappen-Quarze“ bekannt. |
