English: Explanation, translated: ""Şefa'atî li ehli'l-keba'iri min ümmetî"
A hadith is hidden in this tughra written in a large format on the wall in the southwest corner of the mosque. "My intercession is for those of my community who have committed major sins." The name of the calligrapher and the date of the tughra are recorded in the writing seen at the bottom left of the tughra. "Eser-i hâme-i pür-hatâ / Kâtib-zâde Hasan bin Mustafa / El-mulakkab bi-Ceza'iri / Eş-şehir bi-zinetî 1192 "It means: "The work of the mistake-filled pen of Katib-zâde Hasan bin Mustafa, whose nickname is Cezairi, who is famous for his adornment." The date corresponds to 1778/1779 in the Gregorian calendar. With this writing at the bottom, the calligrapher seems to wish not to be deprived of the manifestation of intercession by seeing his pen as pure-faulty." |
