Wednesday, March 28, 2012. Science On a Sphere Theater®. Between March 20 and April 7, 2012, new exhibits are being installed at the Grand Canyon Visitor Center. (South Rim) During the construction process, portions of the Visitor Center may be closed, but there will always be rangers on duty to answer questions. NPS Photo by Michael Quinn. . Grand Canyon National Park is expanding interpretive services at the Visitor Center. These changes will improve visitor orientation and wayfinding and will include: a Science On a Sphere Theater®, digital trip planners and a large illuminated relief map of the canyon. Remodeling of the Visitor Center and the installation of new exhibits is expected to be completed by April 7, 2012. . .
