ATLANTA, July 16, 2014 – Army Guardsmen Georgia 1st Battalion, 185th Aviation Brigade teamed with the Georgia State Patrol’s Dive and Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team for an aerial training exercise, featuring fast rope insertion and extraction operations. The unique partnership is the first of its kind between Georgia’s Department of Defense and Public Safety. The joint training mission will foster cohesiveness and make better use of resources. Additional training missions are scheduled for later in the year. (Georgia National Guard photo by Army Staff Sgt. Tracy J. Smith released) |
