[edit]DescriptionGolden Valley Light Railway - steam locomotive (geograph 4795417).jpg |
English: Golden Valley Light Railway - steam locomotive. Joan is an 0-4-2IST (inverted saddle tank) built in 1997 by Allen Civil at his home in Uttoxeter. It is broadly based on a Bagnall design and has a circular firebox. It weighs 6 tons and has a tractive effort of 2000 lbs on steam at 160 psi. She was initially used at the Amerton Railway but has been at Swanwick since 2003. The team here are friendly and the site is well worth a visit. |
