Description
English: Date: 17th Century

Description: Post-Medieval gold memorial ring, the exterior engraved with flower and leaves, the interior inscribed in lower case: H.T. the Glory of her Children obt: 85: aeta: 68'. [H.T. etc, died 1685, aged 68]. Maker's mark G over W in double square shield. This a standard late 17th century type, but the inscription, an unusual one, indicates that it was made by the deceased's children.
