Description |
Deutsch: Trunkene alte Frau mit großer, reliefverzierter lagynos (hellenistischer Weinkrug). Marmor, Kopie nach einem Werk des 2. Jahrhunderts v. Chr. (200-180). Die berühmte »Trunkene Alte« ist nach römischer Überlieferung von einem Künstler namens Myron geschaffen.
English: Drunken old woman clutching a big lagynos (Hellenistic wine jug) decorated with reliefs. Marble, Roman copy after a Greek original of the 2nd century BC (200–180). According to Roman tradition, this famous statue type was credited to an artist called Myron.
