Description |
Bertha Pappenheim (1859-1936) im Kostüm der Glikl bas Judah Leib. Das Original des Bildes ist verschollen. Reproduktionen sind enthalten im ersten Kalender des Jüdischer Frauenbund (1925) und in den Blättern des Jüdischen Frauenbundes (Ausgabe 4. April 1932). Zu beachten sind die schönen Spitzenmanschetten: Bertha Pappenheim war bekannt als Sammlerin schöner Handarbeit, insbesondere von Spitzen. Der Text im Hintergrund lautet in Umschrift: Zikron marat Gliql Hamil (jiddischer Titel der Erinnerungen der Glikl von Hameln, die Bertha Pappenheim übersetzt hatte). |
