| Description |
English: Glen Mallie Looking down to the river from the road, (here both the old and new roads are coincident). The dying pine forest still occupies the southern wall of the glen. Some has been fenced, but it needs some ground disturbance. The large volume of standing dead timber is of interest - this is a rare habitat and in Norway there is an entire national park dedicated to preserving an old Scots pine forest with lots of dead standing timber in it. |
