Description
This is a photograph of an architectural monument.
It is on the list of cultural monuments of Glückstadt, no. 10480.

Deutsch: Glückstadt (Schleswig-Holstein) – Ballhausstraße 31 und 32 – Ehem. Reepschlägerhaus – Baujahr: 1640 (im Kern)

– Das Haus ist ein eingeschossiger, traufständiger Backsteinbau mit breitem doppelgeschossigem, abgeschlepptem Mittelteil.

– Rückwärtig angeschlossen war früher eine überdachte Reeperbahn. Sie verlief vom Wohnhaus zum Maschinenhaus. Dort befand sich eine elektrisch angetriebenen Spinn- und Schlagmaschine der Maschinenfabrik Memmingen. Die Anlage wurde abgebaut und im Freilichtmuseum Molfsee funktionsfähig wieder errichtet. Bis 2002 war hier in Glückstadt die letzte innungsmäßig betriebene Reepschlägerei in Schleswig-Holstein tätig.
