DescriptionGin gang 039.jpg |
English: Showing 19th century cereal processing machine inside the threshing barn at Home Farm, Beamish Museum, County Durham, England. This would have been powered by an outdoor horse wheel behind the threshing barn, before the present add-on barn was constructed. The power shaft comes in at ground level, and the horse would have had to step over it as it walked round and round the mill. Probably a ramp would have been built for the horse, over the power shaft. |
