English: Gimje Hyanggyo Dormitory - Gimje Hyanggyo was established under KingTaejong sometime between 1400 and 1418 to educate Confucian scholars.
Burned down during the second Japanese Invasion (1597-1598), Daeseongjeon was rebuilt 1635, Myeongryudang, the lecture hall, and Manhwaru, the outer gate with a second story study area, were rebuilt during the Japanese occupation sometime between 1910 and 1945. The Gimje Hyanggyo is Provincial Tangible Asset # 61. |
