Summary
[edit]DescriptionGibson Les Paul Goldtop, MIM PHX.jpg |
Gibson Les Paul Goldtop, MIM PHX Les Paul “Goldtop” electric guitar[1] Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA, 1952 Gibson, Inc., maker Gibson's first version of the Les Paul model, sporting an elegant gold metallic finish, was made available to the public in 1952. Contrary to popular belief, neither the Gibson company nor Les Paul originally invented the electric guitar, but their collaboration produced one of the most iconic and successful designs ever. This rare instrument is one of the first-production Les Pauls, lacking fingerboard binding and even a serial number typical of the earliest examples. It is a significant landmark in the history and popularity of the electric guitar. MIM Permanent Collection |
