English: Giant mole visits Woolworths Someone or something has been making a big hole in the floor of the empty Bury St. Edmunds Woolworths store.
Actually it is rumoured that the store is being divided into two shops and this digging is to check on the foundations - far from a foregone conclusion in Bury St. Edmunds, which is riddled with giant holes created by ground water dissolving away the chalk. The shop front on the left is an extraordinarily effective optical illusion - it is actually the shop opposite reflected in the window. |
