RGS No. 41 is a C-19 class 2-8-0 "Consolidation" type steam locomotive built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works of Philadelphia, PA in 1881, originally for the Denver & Rio Grande Western (D&RGW). In 1916, it was sold to the Rio Grande Southern (RGS) as their No. 41. In 1921, it was reclassified as a C-19. In 1951, it was sold to Walter Knott and has remained operational at the Knott's Berry Farm amusement park in Buena Park, CA on the Ghost Town & Calico Railroad. |
