Name by Samuel de Champlain in 1607, Perce Rock is a massive limestone and shale formation of 433 metres long, 90 metres wide and 88 metres high with an arch at one end 15 metres high. Situated in the town of Perce Quebec, it can be accessed by foot at low tide by a sandbar to it's southwest. The rock has over 150 species of fossils.
