Polski: Podróżnik to żartobliwy autoportret – starodawny, drewniany, rozkładany taboret „ożywiają” przyklejone do okrągłego siedziska fotografie oczu artystki. Geta Brătescu często sięga po przedmioty z najbliższego otoczenia, sprzęty domowe, które, nosząc różne historie, tworzą jej osobistą mitologię. Ważny jest ich związek z domem-pracownią, którą artystka traktuje nie tylko jako miejsce pracy, ale jako swoje alter ego. Dla Brătescu, która uwielbiała podróżować i prowadziła rodzaj dziennika w formie notatników-kolaży, podróż jest metaforą stanu mentalnego, w którym czas i przeżycia ulegają nawarstwieniu. |
