2013 Huron WMD Youth Waterfowl Hunt. "Get your Goose On!" How to session on setting your decoy spread and hunting dog demonstration. The Huron Wetland Management District hosted its 10th annual Youth Waterfowl Hunt in September. This event provided 28 youth hunters between the ages of 12 – 15 and (new) mentored hunters (10-11), an opportunity to learn about various migratory birds and their habitats, duck and goose calling, decoys, and waterfowl hunting techniques. This event continues to be a success each year due to the dedicated volunteers within the community of Huron. Credit: Chuck Pyle/ USFWS |
