Description
English: Members of the Charles Shay Delegation pose for a photo prior to the start of the Picauville ceremony. Charles Shay, a World War two veteran, helped establish the C-47 Memorial Garden which honors 4 crew members and 16 paratroopers who lost their lives in a crash. The ceremony honored 20 American service members who died in a field in Picauville, France on June 6, 1944. (U.S. Army photo by 1st Lt. Katherine Sibilla)
