Concepcion III – Gen. Trias Proper [2] Poblacion. The Church was first built in 1611 by the Franciscan Missionaries. Rebuilt in stone in 1769, repaired and enlarged in 1834 and in 1893. Partially damaged during the earthquake of July 18,1880. The Facade was rebuilt in 1881, beatified in 1885.[3] [4] [5] Parish Priest - Rev. Fr. Innocencio B. Poblete, Jr. Year Founded 1753 It belongs to the Roman Catholic Diocese of Imus,[6] patron saint, Saint Francis of Assisi (1181-1226).[7] [8] Geographical location: Cavite, Region 4, Philippines, Asia Geographical coordinates: 14° 23' 7" North, 120° 52' 47" East This church placemark is situated in Cavite, Region 4, Philippines and its geographical coordinates are 14° 23' 7" North, 120° 52' 47" East. Original name (with diacritics) of the place is General Trias. General Trias celebrates town fiesta October 1, 2010 Heritage Town Built in 1611, it was here where the Banda San Francisco de Malabon (now called Banda Matanda or Old Band) played first the national anthem, Marcha Filipina, before the official proclamation of the Philippine Independence in Kawit, Cavite on June 12, 1898. ---------[N.B. From Bulacan about 10::21 a.m. I took photo of Balintawak LRT panorama of the scenery, at 11:42 a.m.; then, at SM City Bacoor, Cavite, at 1:35 p.m.; at 2:47 p.m. I took photos of Tanza, Cavite and finished photos of General Trias, Cavite at night at 6:55 p.m., and arrived at Bulacan at 11:20 pm after 4+ hours of travel by bus, and started uploading via slow internet at 11:40 pm - I hereby certify that these raw, original and unedited photos are exclusive for Commons and Wikipedia never uploaded in any Internet or any site, and for the public domain without any condition.] |
