Description
English: Gen. David Petraeus, the commanding general of Multi-National Forces – Iraq, meets with one of the first members of the Sadr City Neighborhood Guard, June 4. The neighborhood guard is patterned after the successful Sons of Iraq program created in other Districts of Baghdad. It is designed to provide the members of the guard the training necessary to help protect the neighborhoods in which they live. (U.S. Army photo/Sgt. Philip Klein)
