Deutsch: Beschreibung aus Karl Woermanns Galeriekatalog 1887: Amor als Bogenschnitzer. Amor, ein halbwüchsiger Jüngling, steht, von hinten gesehen, auf einer Brüstung vor schwarzem Grunde, wendet aber sein Gesicht nach links zum Beschauer zurück. Den linken Fuss setzt er auf die Bücher, die er verachtet; mit beiden Händen schnitzt er seinen Bogen. Links unten vor ihm erscheinen zwei kleinere Liebesgötter. Der vordere, schalkhaft lächelnde, drückt den anderen so heftig an Hand und Schulter, dass dessen Gesicht sich schmerzhaft verzieht.
