Description
English: François the Frenchman, a shipwrecked person from the fleet of Benjamin Wood, who was found by the Dutch on Mauritius on 9 October 1601. He died on 25 May 1602 and was buried on Banda Island (nowadays part of Maluku, Indonesia).
Nederlands: François de Fransman, een schipbreukeling afkomstig van de vloot van Benjamin Wood, die op 9 oktober 1601 door de Nederlanders werd aangetroffen op Mauritius. Hij stierf op 25 mei 1602 en werd begraven op het eiland Banda (tegenwoordig onderdeel van Maluku, Indonesië).
