Summary
[edit]The prominent crater just to the upper right of center is Geiger. The larger crater to the lower left is 'Geiger R'. This image of the far side of the Moon was taken during the Apollo 17 mapping metric sequence, revolution #28. The selenographic coordinates of this image are 15.70° S, 156.80° E.
This picture was produced by cropping the Hi-res image, rotating 90° counter-clockwise so that north is toward the top edge, then reducing it in size 50%.
