Description
English: The Gehring Ranch near Helena, Montana, dates from the 1870s. It represents how family farming and ranching operations evolved as their owners met evolving challenges during the late 19th and early-to-mid 20th centuries. The unique and well-preserved structures on the Gehring Ranch, along with family records, show clearly how the owners worked to allow the operation to succeed.
