Description

Jo and I drove down to Bosque del Apache on Thursday to check out the birds. As you can see from my previous photo, we weren't the only ones there.

I have too many photos already of the cranes and geese, but I wanted to try some video. There's a moment when the snow geese are starting to get restless. The sound level rises and all at once, they take off together. The sky is full of birds and a raucous cacophony of quacks comes from all directions. They circle around once and then they are gone.

I wanted to get this on video. I was lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time. I saw it starting to happen and raised the video camera, following them around for about a minute until they flew away.

Unfortunately, you won't ever see this video. I forgot to press the button!
