Description
Français : Plaque commémorative du monument de Jacob Jordaens. Jacob Jordaens meurt le 18 octobre 1678, le même jour que sa fille Elisabeth. Comme sa fille, Jordaens fut enterré à Putte, dans la République des Sept Pays-Bas-Unis. Plusieurs protestants y furent enterrés, car le village, situé aux Provinces-Unies, possédait une petite église protestante. À l'emplacement de l'église protestante disparue et du cimetière se dresse, depuis 1877, un monument du sculpteur belge Jef Lambeaux. Dans le piédestal sont encastrées, outre une plaque commémorative, les dalles funéraires des tombes de Jordaens et de ses disciples Van Pape et Van Stalbemt.
