Gaurighat is on the right bank of the river near the bridge over the Bagmati river on the way to Guhyeshwari from the Pashupati temple in Kathmandu.

Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Gaurighat is on the right bank of the river near the bridge over the Bagmati river on the way to Guhyeshwari from the Pashupati temple in Kathmandu. Gaurighat is one of the most important pilgrimage sites in the Pashupati region. There is an artistic stone on the bank of the river Bagmati in this Gaurighat. There is a very artistic white stone idol of Gauri i.e. Parvati on the same stone. Devotees worship this. Parvati had done hard penance at this ghat to get Kirantarupa Mahadev. This is the reason why devotees visit Kiranteshwar after bathing in this Gaurighat in the month of Magha. Since there is a Swasthani Brat story in the month of January, those who recite Swasthani are very busy here. At the same time, there are a lot of people visiting Kirateshwar. In this Gaurighat there are idols of Pati, Pauwa and various deities. In this Gauri Ghat, the memory of the father, that is, the shraddha of the Sorha shraddhas, is also crowded. There is also a large statue of Hanuman in the middle of Gauri Ghat.
