Summary

[edit]
Description
English: By 730 AD, Amman became a major Islamic city, with a palace built from the remains of a Roman temple complex. Unfortunately for the Umayyads, the city was adopted by a royal center in 730 AD, not long before the devastating earthquake of 749 AD that destroyed cities and civilizations from the Mediterranean to Persia.
