Summary
[edit]DescriptionGarganey (Anas querquedula) - geograph.org.uk - 1036178.jpg |
English: Garganey (Anas querquedula), near to Milton, Cambridgeshire, Great Britain.
This handsome bird breeds in Cambridgeshire on the Ouse washes but is generally elusive in the ditches and damp vegetation. This bird has dropped down just short of the Washes on migration - it is one of the first migrants to return. It was very busy catching flies. |
