Svenska: Ett hus från 1700-talet som länge kallades "Gamla Sockerbruket" beroende på att det från omkring 1750 till 72 verkligen var ett sockerbruk här. Det skiver språkforskaren Erik Sotberg i en resejournal från 1757. Han berättar att sockret var "gott, fast och vitt samt att några tusen skålpund exporterades till Stockholm". Företaget gick i konkurs 1772. |
