Summary
[edit]DescriptionGairnshiel Bridge from the North-west. - geograph.org.uk - 159095.jpg |
English: Gairnshiel Bridge from the North-west. This distinctive hump-backed bridge carries the A939 north to Cock Bridge and the famous Lecht Road to Tomintoul. This is one of the old Military Roads which date back to the time of General Wade. Glen Gairn is fairly flat here, lined by gently rising heather-clad hills. There are scattered pines and larches. |
